In alluvial gold mining machinery, traditional alluvial gold concentration equipment utilizes gold-catching grass for gold recovery from placer ore. Its fundamental working principle is as follows:The slurry (typically ore materials with a particle size of less than 2 cm) discharged from the classifying screen enters one or more sluice boxes for mineral processing. By precisely controlling the water volume, flow velocity, and sluice box angle, the slurry flows through the sluice to form wave vortices. Through hydraulic action, light sand and sludge are continuously discharged, while heavy mineral materials—including gold particles—settle and adhere to the gold fleece (gold-catching grass) inside the sluice box. After several hours of operation, the gold fleece is removed and cleaned of heavy minerals, enabling the recovery of gold-bearing heavy mineral concentrates. The service life and gold recovery efficiency of gold-catching grass vary significantly depending on its quality grade.
